Beauty
What is Beauty?
That was my first project within the Motion & CG Design program at BBE school, and honestly overall.
The assignment was to create three animated posters that would convey your personal or adopted understanding of what Beauty is.
There were no strict guidelines, except for utilizing the skills acquired during the first 2-3 months and demonstrating proficiency in using them. It served as a test, assessing both your personal abilities and the capabilities of the new m1 laptop.

Initially, my intention was to create something trendy, minimalistic, and contemplative by combining 2D and 3D elements (despite our limited knowledge of C4d). However, something went awry. The program kept crashing, rendering me unable to make any progress. After pondering for a while, I realised that I needed colours to enhance my inner state and the approach to the project. If the original idea couldn't be realised, I decided to do the opposite: instead of monochrome, I opted for vibrant colours; instead of a meditative animation, I went for an energizing one; and instead of instrumental minimalistic sound, I sought something that would keep you captivated.

It occurred to me that one's ability to perceive and appreciate Beauty depends on their current state of mind. Sometimes, beauty can be found in dilapidated buildings, while other times, our attention gravitates towards well-structured elements. There are moments when we find black to be the most beautiful colour, only to become infatuated with purple a month later. During that period, Beauty revealed itself as something that brings a smile to your face and makes you feel alive. It becomes something that satisfies your inner child and adjusts the brightness of both your inner and outer worlds.
My appreciation to Azamat Agraba for his Indian Boogie and to InspectorJ for the sound samples.
